Description

The Auger arable land is suitable for taking samples in the upper layer of the soil. This type of auger has an almost half cylindrical auger body with parallel cutting edges running from top to bottom. The auger has a 0.5" (13 mm) diameter and an operational length of 9.8" (25 cm). Total length of the auger is 22.8" (58 cm). The fully galvanized agricultural auger is also available in a set. This set also contains a mineral gouge auger and two thumb spatulas. 

The auger is used to take samples from the soil with a length of 9.8" (25 cm). By taking 40 samples, a mixed sample of approximately 4.5lbs (2 kg) is obtained. If well distributed over a plot, this gives a reliable indication of the soil composition.
